Over 24,000 children and young people are bereaved of a parent every year in Britain.
The Bank of Scotland Spotacular for BBC Children in Need.
In our second year as Proud Schools Partner we supported BBC Children in Need’s schools fundraising campaign – The Big Spotacular! Schools across Scotland took part in a range of spotty-themed activities, from spotty fancy dress and selling spotty cakes to sponsored spot challenges. By taking part, pupils benefited by developing key curriculum-related skills – and had a great time! Schools across the country took part in a week-long fundraising fiesta, leading up to BBC Children in Need Appeal Day!Bank of Scotland supported and enhanced the fundraising by providing a wealth of resources such as fundraising tips and tools to help bring young people’s ideas to life and dedicated volunteers across the country. Over 17,000 teachers registered to take part in the Big Spotacular in 2016. 20 of those schools won the chance for a special visit from Pudsey Bear as he made his way across the UK in the lead up to Appeal Week. Find out more about how schools and children celebrated their visit from Pudsey Bear. Have a look at the fantastic pictures we got from them in the gallery below.
