£5 Design Challenge

School children design our limited edition £5 banknote.

In June, children between the ages of 4 and 14 had the once in a lifetime opportunity to design a limited edition Bank of Scotland £5 banknote to celebrate our partnership with BBC Children in Need.

Thousands of children got their drawing pads out to answer the question: "What does BBC Children in Need mean to you?" The response to the competition was fantastic. We received over 4,000 entries and our judges were especially impressed by the imagination and creativity shown in the children's artwork.

After some tough deliberation, Kayla Robson, 12, from Dundee was selected as our competition winner. Her kilted Pudsey design will be auctioned off for BBC Children in Need later this year.
