Bank of Scotland & schools supporting BBC Children in Need in Edinburgh

Bank of Scotland is proud to be BBC Children in Need’s first ever Principal Partner and exclusive fundraising partner in schools. The three year partnership with BBC Children in Need sits right at the heart of Lloyds Banking Group’s strategy to Help Britain Prosper. Bank of Scotland is committed to helping the charity support all UK schools and five million children with fundraising and key skills development. This is expected to double donations raised through schools by 2017.

Trinity Primary, Edinburgh is getting behind Champions of Change this year by helping the children to come up with their own fundraising plans. They decided to hold a BBC Children in Need fayre where the children used the Champions of Change resources to come up with their own stall ideas including, a bake off, manicures, soak the teacher, face painting and much more.

Ms. Chalmers, P.4 teacher from Trinity Primary School said “We’re really looking forward to getting behind BBC Children in Need this year and putting our Champions of Change resources to good use. Our pupils are really excited about the opportunity to ‘own’ the fundraising activities.

“We’ve already downloaded the education resources and built them into our lesson plans and are looking forward to seeing the impact they will have on our pupil’s personal development and understanding of BBC Children in Need and the positive impact that every pound they raise will have on those less fortunate than themselves. Bank of Scotland’s support of Champions of Change will help us to raise even more money this year.”
