I want to give back for all the support I had when younger.

The reason I signed up for the Tour de Pudsey was the challenge of regaining my fitness and making it worthwhile in the process. As a small child I had a hip disease which meant many trips and operations at Alder Hey in Liverpool. I have always wanted to give something back to all those who helped me over the years. Once I had learnt to walk again after my operations the first thing I wanted to do was ride my bike - from there I went on to compete for the Isle of Man on a number of occasions. Unfortunately though, I have not ridden my bike for around 15 years due to early signs of arthritis but wanted to do this challenge for such a worthwhile cause while I am still physical able to. I am looking forward to making new friends and being part of a great team while completing this challenge.
