I can't wait to see my wife's smile when I finish.

I signed up for the Tour de Pudsey as I was unable to take part in last year's 'Pedal for Pudsey' challenge due to a cycling accident!

I used to cycle everywhere as a kid, but then let it slip (driving was easier!). Initially, I started doing mountain biking a few years ago to build up fitness, but then migrated to triathalons, which necessitated  the purchase of a new road bike. During the summer I bike to work 2-3 times a week, as well as weekly rides with my tri club. Because of last year's accident there are no tri's planned for this year, so this is my 2016 challenge.

Although I have cycled quite a lot, I have never participated in a challenge such as this before. Finishing the 300 miles in 3 days, and then seeing my wife's smile at the finish is what I'm looking forward to most.
