Congratulations to everyone who took part in the 2016 Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run, Scotland’s biggest running event and achieve something great.
We are proud to partner with the Great Scottish Run for the 8th year. Over 30,000 took part across the event weekend and similar to last year, hundreds of Lloyds Banking Group colleagues from across Scotland pulled on their trainers to raise money for our Charity of the Year, BBC Children in Need. 120 colleagues also volunteered to support the race, runners and spectators on the day.
We are delighted to extend our partnership of Scotland’s biggest mass participation running event, the Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run from 2017 to 2019.
This year hundreds of Lloyds Banking Group colleagues took part, many ran to raise thousands of pounds for the Group’s Charity of the Year, BBC Children in Need, for their own charity, to get fit or simply for fun.
I love taking part in this event as it brings thousands of runners of all levels together and year on year it raises an incredible amount of money for many worthy causes. Alongside hundreds of my colleagues I will be proud to run on behalf of our Charity of the Year, BBC Children in Need. It will push me across that finish line knowing that every pound I raise will make a worthwhile difference to disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.
