Our Colleagues Support the Great Scottish Run

This year hundreds of Lloyds Banking Group colleagues took part, many ran to raise thousands of pounds for the Group’s Charity of the Year, BBC Children in Need, for their own charity, to get fit or simply for fun.

This year hundreds of Lloyds Banking Group colleagues took part, many ran to raise thousands of pounds for the Group’s Charity of the Year, BBC Children in Need, for their own charity, to get fit or simply for fun. 120 colleagues also volunteered to support at the race, cheering on the runners from a double decker bus across the route. We caught up with some of the colleagues who ran and volunteered:

“I took part in the Great Scottish Run, my first ever 10k! It was such a fun day and I was delighted with my time. Big thanks to everyone who volunteered and well done to those who took part. Can’t wait to sign up for next year!” “Another excellent weekend. 2016 was my fourth year as a volunteer and I’m looking forward to 2017 already. The atmosphere was amazing and it was a real team effort. Well done to all the runners and volunteers for making the week end so memorable. What an excellent way to showcase the fantastic work the Bank of Scotland does in the Scottish Community.”

“After running the 10k for the past three years myself and a few colleagues decided to run the Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run half marathon. A great day in fantastic weather. We thoroughly enjoyed it.”

Jenny Bannerman from Bank of Scotland who managed to pick up a trophy for the 10k said: “I am very happy to finish runner up and delighted to take second place to a Great Britain internationalist. It was a great event with a fantastic atmosphere. It was amazing to see so many colleagues running too.”
